My daddy and me

You all know what tomorrow is RIGHT? I mean... RIGHT? That's right. It's my dad's day...

It's kinda' like a second birthday you could say.

I love my DAD.
My dad loves me.
He showed me how to put a worm on a hook.
He's let me do pokes (I am diabetic and he's been my hero here) on his arm just like me.
He's the best example.
He's the most humble man. (I mean seriously he's like a humble-bumble-bee.)
He's constantly showing my mom the precious kind of love.
He has shown so much Grace. (it knocks my socks off)
He's got the biggest heart.
One of his favorite movies is the Lion King, if I told you why, you would be in jaw droppin' aw of how cool he is.
The only thing he can't do...is...make scrambled eggs. I know. You were thinkin' it was somethin' important. HA! Gotcha'!

I love my daddy. And he loves me.
I am thankful, Jesus, that you gave my daddy a part of your heart, for giving me my dad of your choice, for giving him a heart After You. For showing so much Grace. Patience. Love and Respect. And let's not forget, the example he has shown me in loving his spouse. Gee! What  a guy! And guess what! That's right, he's MY dad.

I L-O-V-E you dad.
Thanks for sharing your heart with mine so maybe someday I'll be half as cool as you.

This song, it makes me think of my dad.

    Miss Piper,
Thank you for your honoring words and actions! You make being a father such a joy! You are forever selfless (oh yeah, thanks for breakfast), giving and loving to those around you and it tends to bring out the best in others.
Truth be known YOU are one of my heroes. You look at life with such wonder and amazement and find joy in so many things that many of us ignore. Although you have faced more than your share of hurdles in life at such a young age you face them and charge through them, realizing you serve the God that has a plan for you and are resolved to let His most excellent plan prevail.
Your presence is a joy and sometimes you simply "crack me up"!
    Thanks Piper for being you!
    Love Dad

  2. I LOVE this post! And I LOVE our dad. He is amazing. And you're right, the one thing he can't do is make scrambled eggs but who cares about that!
